Flexamat is looking great on the SFWMD test canal!
Flexamat is going to make the shoreline of the SFWMD canal system maintainable. Rip Rap is dangerous and un-apealing! With Flexamat there are no more twisted ankles picking up trash, and you eliminate weed abatement by keeping your shorelines mowed! Commercial mowers can be used to mow right up to the water's edge. Flexamat is the answer you have been looking for, its priced right and ready to roll!!
Hasn't moved in 45 days! The true test is coming and we will be there to document the whole thing! With Huricane season around the corner we should be getting a lot more water in that canal. This will help vegetation flurish, as it has already started to poke through! Looks like Flexamat is the only product on the test canal working! (see erosion to the left, see erosion to the right)
Flexamat has many great applications! You can learn more at http://www.midwestconstruct.com/flexamat.html. We have many case studies and installation videos that will help you see how Flexamat can change the landscape of your project!

Eliminate Concrete, Drive and Park on Grass!
Mission: Create a "Green" driveway and parking area stable enough for emergency vehicles.
Mission Specialist: Helm's Seeding & Sodding
Mission Location: Private Estates near the Louisville, Kentucky area
Mission Duration: Approximately 4 days, start to finish!
The owners of this private estate were looking for an environmentally friendly solution to provide them with temporary access and parking. Using asphalt or concrete could have worked but would have been very expensive. With the help of the local Midwest Construction Products in Louisville, a time tested, reliable solution was implemented.
GRASSY TM PAVERS provide soil stabilization, natural water filtration and drainage, assistance in storm-water management objectives, lower temperatures, reduced soil compaction, reduced need for expensive drainage systems, and are cost effective. This was the solution that was right for this project and right for the surrounding environment!
This particular project was approximately 12000 square feet and completed using a 4 step process. First the contractor had to prepare the sub grade material by leveling it off. This is very important to insure proper paver installation. After the sub grade has been worked the GRASSY TM PAVERS are then placed, connecting each section together using their interlocking connection tabs. The third phase of this installation is to fill the cells with a sandy loam topsoil material. This helps strengthen the pavers and provides a great drainage medium.
